Location: Denby, Derbyshire Function: Manufacturing, Quality & Tech Services Internal Job Title: Manufacturing I, Production About the Role: The Production Operative is reporting into the Production Supervisors and supporting the day to day operation of the Production here at SC Johnson Professional Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for completion of general tasks related to the filling or mixing team and other reasonable tasks/responsibilities which relate to your role. You will also be required to assisting the Supervisors to achieve improvements across key performance areas of the business. Responsibilities: May be based in Cosmetic Mixing or Filling or Healthcare Filling Hall. However, flexibility is required to work in any area of the Production Department in order to meet business requirements. Ensure that you work to achieve targets as required by the Mixing or Filling Plan in time to meet customer service requirements. Proactively ensure that any problems or concerns regarding safety, quality or your ability to complete cleaning regimes are immediately communicated to your Team Leader or Supervisor. Ensure that the current status of the working area/plan is fully communicated to the next shift via handover sheets, verbal communication and/or the use of hygiene and communication boards. Ensure that your working area is maintained within the requirements of the housekeeping programmes, operating a ‘clean as you go’ approach to general housekeeping practices. Similarly, leave your working area clean, tidy and ready for the next shift. Ensure that you work safely at all times and conform with HSE requirements which are communicated to you. You should raise any concerns regarding issues of safety with the Supervisor or Production Manager and report, if appropriate via the “Good Spot” system. Ensure that you work in line with all company procedures and written instructions (Standard Operating Procedures, Works Orders, change control documentation etc.) and all instructions given via the Datastore automatic control system. Proactively raise any suggestions for changes and improvements to working practices Ensure that you comply with GMP standards and wear the correct GMP approved workwear in the production and warehouse areas Ensure high hygiene standards are maintained, complete daily and weekly cleaning regimes and the complete the prescribed cleaning of equipment as required. Proactively contribute to the control and reduction of all waste associated with mixing and filling operations whether derived from man, machine, material or method. Actively seek to be involved in cost saving activities and positively support any improvement initiatives. Be actively involved and contribute to the daily shift meetings, shift hand over meetings, OEE/Line Performance Meetings and Weekly Briefing Sessions with team members. Work alternating shifts (approx. 6-2 & 2-10) and be willing to change shifts occasionally to meet business needs.
