Job Title: Finance Assistant
Department: Finance
Reports To: Finance Team Leader
Location: Unit 3, GreenFarm, Abbots Ripton, Huntingdon PE28 2PF
About the role
The Finance Assistant will play a key role in our Finance Department, enabling enhanced accuracy and effectiveness of financial forecasting across the business.
Responsibilities
* Assist in executing daily and month-end controls and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency within the company's accounts.
* Bookkeeping duties, including reconciling bank accounts daily, identifying and resolving discrepancies via controls, processing supplier invoices daily, and supporting ad hoc projects as required.
* Assist with overseeing and maintaining the company asset register.
* Conduct regular spot checks of submitted expenses to ensure policy adherence by line managers and correct coding.
Assist the wider finance team with other duties as needed, including holiday and sickness cover, such as:
* Funding hardware via leasing companies and direct debit systems.
* Processing partner commission invoices, including approvals and resolving disputes.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience.
* Experience using Xero or similar accounting software is preferable.
* Willing to be an active team member and assist with tasks as priorities dictate.
