Social Worker - Children with Disabilities Team
Up to £37 per hour | Hybrid (3 days in-office)
Are you a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker passionate about empowering children with disabilities and their families? We're looking for a skilled professional to join our Children with Disabilities Team, offering a great work-life balance with a hybrid working model.
In this vital role, you'll work directly with children and young people with complex needs, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary to thrive. You'll be part of a collaborative team, making a real difference in their lives and advocating for their best interests.
What You'll Do:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people with disabilities, identifying their needs and strengths.
* Develop and implement person-centred care plans, ensuring they are tailored to individual needs and promote independence.
* Undertake robust safeguarding enquiries, acting decisively to protect vulnerable children and young people.
* Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings (e.g., CIN, CP, LAC reviews, EHCP meetings), working closely with health, education, and other professionals.
* Provide direct support and advice to children, young people, and their families, empowering them to navigate challenges and access appropriate services.
* Maintain accurate and timely records in line with professional standards and statutory requirements.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external partners to achieve positive outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
* A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, BA Hons Social Work, MA Social Work).
* Current registration with Social Work England.
* Demonstrable experience working within a Children with Disabilities team or similar children's social care setting.
* A strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989, Children and Families Act 2014, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
* Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
* The ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritise effectively, and work well under pressure.
* A commitment to promoting the voice of the child and championing their rights.
