An Outstanding secondary school in Liverpool is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing department within a school known for its strong academic outcomes and high expectations.
The school places a strong emphasis on academic stretch and challenge, particularly for pupils capable of achieving greater depth, and is looking for a teacher who can demonstrate this through their previous teaching practice or placements.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, provided they can evidence effective practice in supporting and stretching higher-attaining pupils.
The Role
• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Support pupils in achieving strong academic outcomes in Mathematics
• Provide appropriate stretch and challenge to ensure pupils capable of greater depth achieve their full potential
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is completing teacher training
• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level during placements or previous roles
• Ability to evidence strategies used to stretch and challenge higher-attaining pupils
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics
• A reflective practitioner with high expectations for pupil achievement
Requirements
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
