Regional Commercial Manager Cement – South of England Location: Remote Package: Company car salary £70,000 bonus Are you ready to take the lead in driving growth and shaping the future of our commercial strategy in Cement? We’re looking for a Regional Commercial Manager (RCM) to spearhead business development across the South of England. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for growing market share, boosting revenue, and improving profitability by implementing targeted account and territory strategies. You’ll work closely with both existing and new customers, leveraging multiple channels—including digital—to deliver exceptional results. Beyond sales, you’ll identify opportunities to sell value-added products and services, ensuring our customers receive solutions that truly make a difference. As a leader, you’ll develop and coach an internal sales team, driving excellence through structured programs and fostering a culture of high engagement and commitment. This role is primarily field based (a typical minimum of 70%) with a potential requirement for desk-based management when there is a clear business need. These management cycle will be agreed in advance with the line manager (National Commercial Director). Ensure the Iinteral Sales Rep has call cycles, for customers and prospects, defined and adhered to. Use a variety of digital media, including video calls, to maintain close customer contact. Call cycle objectives should be set in the customer management plan (CMP) Be actively involved in preparation of annual sales budgets and forecasts for the relevant region Ensure queries are resolved in defined timeframe and against over-arching Heidelberg Materials metric ( Improve share of wallet through upselling/cross-selling, for Heidelberg Materials, at the required profitability level. Develop and maintain long-term commercial relationships with customer accounts supported by a customer strategy to deliver on the Market Strategy Plan (MSP) Enable the customer to receive required products & services in a timely manner by ensuring there is business alignment (including between sales, operations and logistics) Communicate market/customer needs and demands to Heidelberg Materials through identifying insights Forecast and tracks customer account metric achievement Manage projects within customer relationships, working to carry out customer goals while meeting company goals Identify opportunities to grow business with existing and new customers in line with the product line/region strategy Coordinate with colleagues working on the same account to ensure consistent service Collaborate with other sales teams and colleagues to reach prospective customers Service multiple customers concurrently (includes, prospects, new & existing) Ensure the ISR keeps records of customer transactions and interactions, using relevant tools, through management cycle review Ensure account records and details are correct in Heidelberg Materials Systems (CRM, SAP) and sales processes are followed Review Net Promoter Scores (NPS) to identify strong performance or weaknesses and collaborate with colleagues to drive collective performance and improved customer experiences Negotiation and management of both existing and new contracts for Key Accounts Why Join us?
