Data Privacy Manager
Data and analytics is an important enabler for the UK Business’ strategy and in achieving its’ outcomes. This role sits within the UK Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) function. The UK CDAO function is responsible for data risk and control management, delivering the data platform strategy, delivering data and analytics products and AI for the UK Business.
In this fantastic new role, you will support the UK Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) function by assisting in the management of data privacy operations and ensuring compliance with data protection laws. This role is crucial in maintaining customer trust and enhancing the value of data through effective privacy practices.
In this role, you will:
* Assist in the implementation of data privacy controls and compliance measures across the UK Business.
* Support the identification and mitigation of data privacy risks, issues, and control gaps.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate data risk policies and ensure adherence to mandatory data controls.
* Contribute to the development of training and educational materials to enhance awareness of GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
* Participate in DataVisa operations to ensure user proficiency and accurate case input.
* Stay informed on legislative requirements and assist in conducting gap analysis and remedial work programmes.
* Promote an inclusive environment that encourages growth and empowerment, embedding a ‘speak up’ culture
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:
Technical:
* Basic exposure to privacy office operations.
* Understanding of privacy laws (e.g., PECR, GDPR, ICO).
* Ability to identify and prioritize data risks.
* Experience in stakeholder management and communication of technical data to non-technical audiences
Behavioural Skills:
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Effective under pressure and self-motivated.

This role can be based in Sheffield, Edinburgh, Swansea or Birmingham on a hybrid basis.
