Head of Year 7 – Full Time

Hours: 07:45 – 16:00, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced pastoral leader with a passion for supporting student development and wellbeing? We are seeking a committed and driven Head of Year 7 to join a dynamic secondary school in Birmingham on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the pastoral care and academic progress of the Year 7 cohort
Support students in their transition from primary to secondary school
Work closely with teaching staff, SLT, and parents to ensure high standards of behaviour, attendance, and engagement
Monitor pupil progress and implement effective interventions where necessary
Uphold and promote the school’s values and ethos across all areas of student life
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Head of Year within a UK secondary school (Year 7 experience desirable)
Strong leadership, communication, and behaviour management skills
Proven track record of driving progress and promoting student wellbeing
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) preferred but not essential if strong pastoral experience is evident
