This is a 39 week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.

East Lothian Council seek to appoint a positive, resilient and committed individual for the position of Home Economics auxiliary at Rosehill High School. Rosehill opened in August. It currently has a role of around pupils in S1-S4, and will expand further with an additional year group from August. Our courses in Food Technology have a high uptake.
The new secondary learning facility is designed to support creative approaches to learning, with a range of adaptive teaching spaces. Alongside up to date and digitally enabled classrooms, there is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) wing, a Learning Resource Centre, extensive facilities to support the arts, and a state of the art sport and leisure complex. Learning and teaching on the campus goes beyond the traditional classroom and encompasses outdoor learning and sustainability. The campus also includes a number of community and health spaces to support collaboration between a range of professionals and sectors.
This position will be based within our Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, working closely with departmental staff.
