Responsibilities
This is a full-time, on-site Optical Assistant role based in Romsey. The Optical Assistant will actively assist patients by providing excellent customer service, answering inquiries, and supporting optometrists in delivering exceptional eye care. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with frame selection, guiding patients in the use of eyewear and contact lenses, managing appointments, and maintaining an organized and professional working environment. The role involves working closely with both patients and team members to ensure high levels of satisfaction and service quality.
Qualifications
* Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-first approach to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
* Effective communication skills to support patient interaction and teamwork
* Basic understanding or willingness to learn optometry and eyecare practices
* Customer service abilities to handle patient needs with professionalism and empathy
* Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently
* Previous experience in optometry or a related field is advantageous but not essential
