About You
To apply for this post, you must:
1. To work as part of an integrated team to provide a range of home/centre-based family support interventions that contribute to achieving an improvement in outcomes for children, young people and families.
2. To work as part of an integrated team providing support for families, young people regarding issues of housing, benefits, education, employment and independence skills.
3. To be accountable for identified appropriate direct work with children and families using a strength and trauma informed practice approach.
4. To advise and guide parents and where relevant young people in managing household affairs, practical child care tasks, and other means of providing for the care of children. This may involve flexible work patterns including early mornings, early evenings and occasionally weekends
5. To contribute to safeguarding assessments and plans and report observations with regard to the standards of care provided by parents and contribute to discussions with social workers, and Support and Assessment Workers
6. To supervise and monitor contact when part of the child’s plan.
