Job Description:
Our clients are looking for Highways Operatives to join their hardworking dedicated team in South Molton.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, including Patching, Resurfacing, Potholes, Drainage, Footways, and General Highway Maintenance.
* Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
* Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for daily tasks.
* Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.
* Provide direction/supervision of less experienced operatives where appropriate.
* Possession of a clean driving license is ideal; some points accepted.
* Commitment to Health and Safety.
* Good communication skills, basic literacy, and numeracy.
* Ability to undertake manual work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* CSCS Card.
* HGV licence.
* Note: NRSWA and Operative Accreditation Lantra 12D are not essential.
Rate of Pay:
* Overtime at 150% after 40 hours.
* This is a PAYE position, offering benefits such as accrued holiday pay from day one, weekly pay, and no umbrella fees.
* Tax and National Insurance deductions will be shown on your payslip.
This is a temporary role, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
