About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with class teachers to support students aged 8–18 with SEMH needs. You’ll help deliver a fun, functional curriculum tailored to individual learning needs, often working one-to-one or in small groups. Our students have experienced trauma and may display challenging behaviours, so empathy, resilience, and a trauma-informed approach are key.
1. Experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH needs
2. Understanding of behaviour management and trauma-informed practices
3. Inclusive, empathetic, and solution-focused mindset
4. Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships
5. Basic knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and the National Curriculum
6. Confidence in using ICT to support learning
