Do you want a Reception Teaching Assistant role that gives you hands-on EYFS experience before teacher training?
Could you provide focused 1:1 and small group support to help children settle, learn, and thrive?
* Reception Teaching Assistant
* Immediate start until July 2026
* £80 - £90 per day
* ‘Good’ primary school, Wolverhampton
* 1:1 and small group support across EYFS
The Role
You’ll support Reception pupils through play-based learning, early phonics and number, routines, and personal development. You’ll prepare simple resources, guide small groups, provide 1:1 support, and keep concise notes on progress. You’ll help maintain a calm, safe, and engaging classroom.
The Candidate
You communicate clearly, bring a warm, consistent approach, and enjoy working with young children. You can follow guidance, use initiative, and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Requirements
* Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
* Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
* Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
* Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in EYFS and early child development.
* Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (nursery, tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
