We are looking to recruit a team of teachers for our new KS provision which will cater for an additional learners.
About the job
Nyth y Deryn provides education and wellbeing for learners with challenging behavioural, emotional and social difficulties as well as for learners with emotional based school avoidance. High quality learning and excellent care, support and guidance are at the heart of our school. As is a commitment to trauma informed approaches. The vision for this school is for the majority of learners to reintegrate back into mainstream schools
These roles will be based at the key stage provision, which is temporarily going to be located at the site of the old Fitzalan High School. Teachers will be expected to deliver across the breadth of areas of learning experience and will follow a KS Curriculum for Wales model.
We are particularly looking to appoint teachers with knowledge and experience in Science and technology, ICT/DCF, humanities meeting additional learning needs however all applicants will be considered on their own merit.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful applicant will work as part of a team and have some previous experience of working with learners who have emotional behaviour social and mental health problems and be able to empathise with learners’ difficulties. They will be able to provide teaching and learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual learners.
