SEMH Teaching Assistant
We are seeking resilient and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to work within a challenging secondary school environment, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis through our agency.
The role:
* Supporting students with SEMH needs in both classroom and pastoral settings
* Managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent, and positive way
* Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
* Encouraging engagement, progress, and personal development
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
What we are looking for:
* Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH, SEN or behavioural needs
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
