A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will join an established in-house legal team and handle a range of work of national significance.
The successful candidate will benefit from flexible working arrangements but must attend the office in the South East at least once a week.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, commercial risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sectors.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, focusing on contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with financial and legal obligations.
Experience in construction law and/or public procurement is advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with the in-house legal team and business units on engineering and construction matters related to infrastructure projects.
2. Managing and overseeing the lifecycle of PFI contracts.
3. Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex commercial contracts.
4. Providing guidance on public procurement regulations and legal policies.
5. Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
