We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident and motivated Site Engineer to join our Construction team.
This role will see you travelling to different sites across the entire Wessex Water region, which covers Bristol, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Bridgwater and everything in between.
What you'll do
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for providing line and level, as well as leading, motivating and inspiring your teams to maximise the effectiveness of civil sites. You will be concentrating on individual sites, ensuring the high standards we expect are maintained.
Your role will see you assisting in leading the site team to support the successful delivery of our outcomes, through effective planning, procurement, risk management and communication with the relevant personnel.
This will include promoting a safety-first environment and ensuring safety training and best practice is maintained throughout the team.
You will work closely with all relevant disciplines on your sites to clearly communicate and promote strategies, dependencies and plans for your projects and initiatives under their remit.
What you'll need
To be considered for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
* SSSTS/SMSTS
* CSCS
* a valid driving licence
* knowledge and experience of above and below-ground structures and pipelines.
The following are preferred but not essential:
* knowledge and experience in the water industry
* Temporary Works Supervisor
* First Aid at Work
* Working at Height
* Manual Handling.
