Wentworth Woodhouse is seeking a proactive Head of Commercial to lead trading activities, with a focus on food and beverage, as part of an ambitious growth strategy aimed at transforming its commercial operations.
Salary: £50k FTE
Location: Mostly onsite to support excellent service delivery
Contract: 2-year fixed term, full-time (37.5 hours) or reduced hours considered
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus up to 5 days for length of service, 8%/3% employer pension contribution

Who we're looking for
An experienced commercial leader with significant expertise in food, beverage, and hospitality sectors.
You should have a proven track record of growing income, managing multiple revenue streams, and leading high-performing teams. Key skills include:
* Strong business planning and budgeting
* Strategic and operational agility
* Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
* Contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
* Innovation, change management, and growth-driving abilities
* Person-centered leadership and customer service approach
Experience in heritage, cultural, or third-sector environments is a plus but not essential. The focus is on your ability to energize and drive commercial success within a purpose-led organization.
Job Responsibilities
About the role
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape and execute a bold commercial strategy across various trading activities, including:
* Food & Beverage, hospitality, and catering (on-site cafes, afternoon teas, event catering)
* Retail (gift shop and bespoke product lines)
* Weddings, corporate, and charity events
* Location hire for film and TV productions
* Visitor experience and front-of-house operations
