Manual & CNC Machinist Salary - £29,000 per annum - £31,000 per annum Location - Manchester, M41 Hours - 7:30am/4:00pm (Monday/Thursday) & 7:30am/3:00pm (Friday) - 37.5 hours per week Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our client. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts and components according to specifications. Your attention to detail and ability to work with precision will be crucial in this role. Objectives Fluting and Grinding of Mill Cylinders Sieve Recovering Small Repairs Occasional Upgrades/Overhauls Main Duties Operation of CNC & PLC Machine for fluting and grinding of mill cylinders Operation of manual press and lathe Quality control and inspection with detailed accuracy using tools such as micrometers Manually dismantle and rebuild roll packs & bearing fitting services Ensuring all documentation is completed and stored using MS Office Tools Experience Previous machine workshop experience is essential Ability to operate CNC/PLC machines for grind and fluting Experience with Manual Lathe and Press Operations. Utilising inspection tools E.G - Micrometers Skills Master of mechanics Extensive knowledge of machine tools Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings CNC machine set-up and operation Be able to use measuring instruments Operation of Fluting and Grinding machines would be a distinct advantage INDAB
