Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing services company with offices in Worthing, West Sussex to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the head of finance and working within a small friendly finance team you will be responsible for supporting in the smooth running of the company's finances taking responsibility for the invoices, reconciliations and expenses and cash controls.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Maintaining Customer & third-party Supplier records in the Accounts system, including Direct Debit mandates.
Invoicing the network for various monthly fees and costs
Carry out Credit Control duties chasing payments and building relationships
Paying suppliers and reconciling bank accounts
Creating PO's, checking supplier invoices against PO's & adding to the Finance system
Uploading finance tip posts to our social media app
Reviewing Head Office Employee Expenses (Cash and Credit Card) via our Expenses App.
Assisting the Finance Manager with analysis and review of the networks annual Accounts filed on Companies House.
Monitor various Finance emails Inbox's, answering phone calls and dealing with general queries.
The successful candidate will be ideally studying towards AAT and or have practical working experience within a varied finance role. You will need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and strong IT skills including Excel. Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines whilst working in small friendly team are essential to succeed in this role.
