Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a client for an:
Electrical Design Engineer.
Our client is well established and looking to employ a full-time permanent member of staff to join the team.
Reporting to the E&I Manager and Operations Director, this role will be based at Dewsbury but will involve some travel to customer and supplier sites as required and when required.
Main Responsibilities:
Liaise with Project Managers and Assembly Shop Engineers to ensure projects are built to specification and achieve timescale deadlines.
Manage EC&I installations from cradle to grave
Produce Electrical schematics, Block Cable & Loop Diagrams for standard equipment & bespoke process solutions
Produce Cable Schedules and Cable Calculations
Produce Control Philosophies for RAE Standard equipment & bespoke process solutions
Produce EC&I BOMs & Control Panel parts lists
Review Sub-contractor schematic drawings and specifications
Check colleagues work for accuracy
Provide EC&I technical support for colleagues and customers
Support sales & proposals with department with pricing and quotations
Attending supplier sites across the UK to attend control panel factory acceptance tests
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
* Qualified to HNC/ BTEC in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
* Driving license
* 2 years + experience within an industrial engineering / manufacturing background, Water or Gas/Chemical
* Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously
* Knowledge of PLC Hardware – specifically Allen Bradley & Siemens
* Comfortable designing to & working with P&IDs
* Exposure to / familiarity with process instrumentation, analogue signals & relay logic
* Proficient user of AutoCAD Electrical
* Trimble (Amtech) – ProDesign, Single Cable & Protect
* Rockwell Integrated Architecture Builder (IAB) / Siemens TIA Selector
* Good Microsoft Word & Excel knowledge
Would be a benefit, but not essential:
* Awareness & understanding of ATEX and DSEAR regulations including EC&I design for Hazardous Areas (DSD Calculations, Equipment selection)
* Knowledge of LV Switchgear standards (BS EN 61439)
* Functional Safety (BS EN 61508/61511) circuits and control panels
* Rockwell IAB / Siemens TIA Selector experience
* EUSR cards
* Compex EX12
Salary & Benefits:
Circa £40-£45k salary, dependent on experience.
Holidays start at 25 days plus stats, increasing over 3 years to reach 28 days plus stats.
Pension – employer contribution 6%

Finish at lunchtime on Friday.
