Business Development Manager – Working Capital Lending

My client is a global fintech brand with award winning technology and lending solutions allowing global suppliers & buyers to trade easily, efficiently and creating global corridors faster.
After a successful UK launch in 2025, we now have a team of 20 based in London ( Front to back office) with a growing awareness of the brand / lending solution with currently book of £5M generated over last 3 months…
Entering 2026 is an exciting time now the foundations are lay, proof of concept is proven & market is becoming aware of the product.
The UK MD is looking for a proactive driven BDM with knowledge of working capital lending solutions to drive acquisition of new lending through a direct model to MidMarket clients.
A candidate who enjoys building long standing relationships, really ' understanding' the technicalities of the deal and business to produce best financing solution whilst driving to hit commercial targets would be the perfect fit
Responsibilities:
Manage the full sales cycle for mid-market accounts, from discovery through to close.
Convert inbound leads and proactively source outbound opportunities within target sectors
Run structured discovery calls to understand client needs and pitch an appropriate lending solution
Position our value proposition clearly and confidently to external stakeholders and help to build awareness in the market
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and Salesforce hygiene
Collaborate with internal teams (risk, legal, operations) to ensure smooth deal execution and customer onboarding
Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
Identify upsell and expansion opportunities as accounts grow and mature
Background/Experience
3+ years of experience in B2B sales within supply chain, trade finance or working capital ecosystem
Familiarity with SCF instruments (e.g., factoring), credit products, or digital lending platforms.
Proven track record of closing mid-market deals and consistently hitting targets
Comfortable running sales processes independently and managing multiple opportunities in parallel
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as multilingual skills and always maintaining an enthusiastic 'can-do' attitude
