AML COMPLIANCE & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

(Quality assurance and regulatory professionals – Compliance and regulatory professionals)

The Role

We are a Sussex based small accountancy firm with a mix of private and company clients mainly from within the South East. In that role you will be assisting the Blackman Terry management to ensure regulatory compliance, compliant client management and manage the digital footprint of the firm.

You will be reporting directly to the Director. Regarding all compliance related matters you have a matrix reporting line to the Deputy MLRO Compliance Manager.

The Person

The firm is looking for a candidate with extensive experience in a similar Anti Money Laundering (AML) role within a legal or accounting environment, ideally with a strong track record of managing teams and navigating complex onboarding scenarios. You are a commercially minded business graduate with in-depth experience in AML compliance and a deepened skillset in public relations, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and digital marketing. You are also a strong communicator who can work with stakeholders across all levels. A solid understanding of the confidentiality principle is key in this position.

We are seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. A sharp eye for detail, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Lead the day-to-day operations of the client onboarding function, taking responsibility for the firm's AML processes and policies. You will report directly to the MLRO and work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure robust, compliant, and efficient client due diligence procedures

· Support adherence to all internal and external governance frameworks, policies, and compliance requirements within a regulated sector

· Completing on-boarding of new clients, including document collection, AML checks, documenting client risk assessments and issuing letters of engagement

· Leading the client onboarding team

· Overseeing the AML onboarding process for all new clients and monitoring the KYC process for existing clients

· Reviewing and conducting client due diligence checks and documentation

· Managing electronic ID checks and investigating system referrals

· Supporting internal stakeholders with onboarding and KYC documentation queries and guidance

· Delivering and facilitating AML training across the firm

· Ensuring ongoing monitoring of clients including PEPs and sanctions checks

· Conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with PSC reporting requirements

· Staying current with AML legislation and maintaining firm-wide policies and procedures

· Maintaining/updating task tracking and client information in various systems and databases

· Performing client risk assessments and determine EDD requirements if and when required under supervision of the MLRO; perform and document EDDs for High Risk clients

· Communicating with staff and back-office about compliance related duties and providing support to staff and back-office staff as and when required

· Working with compliance management to ensure Blackman Terry performs and documents all regulatory compliance tasks and obligations

· Develop, implement, and manage social media strategy and deliverables, based on social media growth drivers and audience behaviours

· Oversee strategy & Creating, scheduling and posting of impactful Social Media content across all relevant social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.): content calendar, content creation, community engagement, reputation management.

· Help define social media Success Metrics & KPIs and monitor the success of social media activities and campaigns

· Set up and maintain Meta Campaign, Conversions API, ensure tracking and data integrity; align with GDPR / privacy regulations.

· Maintaining the Blackman Terry website including updates or creation of new content in collaboration with our accountants

· Optimize landing pages, content pages, ad landing experiences for conversion

· Develop and own the end-to-end SEO roadmap

· Oversee and manage Paid Search and Google Ads to complement organic search, select and optimize keyword match types; manage negatives to reduce wasted spend and ensure conversion tracking for optimisation of ad traffic

· Strategize and execute high quality backlink acquisition, outreach, digital PR

· Plan and execute newsletter/blog outreach campaigns to subscribers/clients to nurture relationships, drive repeat traffic and conversions.

· Segment audience lists, personalise content, optimise subject lines/copy/CTAs; ensure good deliverability, minimal unsubscribes.

· Use email analytics (open rate, CTR, conversion) to feed back into content & SEO planning.

· Provide coaching and counsel to stakeholders to adopt best-in-class digital marketing practices

· Assist with the preparation of business reports and documents for Blackman Terry

· Ad hoc task assistance and performing assigned special projects as requested by management

Responsibilities:

· Be highly collaborative and able to work effectively with local and remote teams

· To work independently with minimal supervision

· Willingness to work full-time from our office

· Provide practice principal and Deputy MLRO with information and analysis each month as required

· Stay up to date with latest regulatory changes and ongoing requirements, research best practices and technologies to strengthen our internal compliance programme

· Stay up to date with latest digital marketing best practices and technologies and identify what's next on existing and emerging social platforms

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a critical function within a high-performing, people-focused firm. The role is for an experienced candidate to further develop their own skillset and take full ownership reporting directly to the practice owner.

The Successful Applicant has/is…:

· 3+ years' experience in Anti Money Laundering (AML) Compliance management

· 3+ years' experience in Social Media management

· Worked in an accountancy firm before

· Deep understanding of the regulatory obligations an accountancy firm has to meet and how to ensure compliance and appropriate record keeping

· Experience in Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) including Adverse Media Checks: minimum 2 years (Required)

· Attended trainings and has detailed knowledge about the new Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) compliance

· High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information

· Exemplary organisational and project management skills

· Outstanding multitasking and problem-solving skills

· Excellent general IT skills including the use of Microsoft packages; additional experience in Bright Manager and XERO

· Previous knowledge of Public Relations and got an eye for what makes great content and how to adapt it across platforms, as well as experience of producing content for website and social media ads

· Creative & copywriting skills for ads, social posts, blog content; clear sense of design, and has a genuine love for social media

· Strong working knowledge and experience of working with social media platforms and an understanding of their algorithms in a business context, preferably within financial communications/news.

· Strong command of SEO tools and platforms

· Technical literacy: World Press/HTML/CSS, server / hosting / CDN / caching / image optimisation, performance / speed optimisations (Core Web Vitals, PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, WebPageTest)

· Strong data / analytics skills

· Understanding of privacy and data protection frameworks (GDPR etc.), including data retention obligations/restrictions and tracking constraints (cookie/privacy changes)

· Ability to work with multiple managers and comfortable with cross-office collaboration

· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a time-sensitive environment

· Proactive individual focused on meeting compliance obligations with limited resources

· Strong writing skills and attention to detail

· Fluent in English and Hindi - Native-level or highly proficient language skills, both written and spoken

Minimum Qualifications

· MSc or equivalent in Business or related field (Required)

· Qualifications/certificates in Digital Marketing (Required)

· Qualifications/certificates in AML Compliance for accountancy sector (Required)

· Fluent in English and Hindi

· Minimum of 2 years work experience within AML Compliance

· Minimum of 2 years work experience within Social Media and Public Relations

· Willingness to work full-time from our office

Schedule:

Full time (37.5 h/week), 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday
