UX/UI Designer
WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a UI/UX Designer to join our team in Prescot, Merseyside. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our Head Office, with the option to work 2 days from home depending on business needs. This role offers the chance to lead design for a suite of business applications, focusing on creating intuitive, high-quality digital solutions for our global team and clients.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
1. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Comfortable demonstrating designs to potentially large audiences and senior management.
4. User-focused, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
5. Attention to detail, focusing on the points that matter.
6. Passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
7. Open-minded, explores ideas and enjoys collaborating.
Required Competencies
8. Proficiency with Wireframe and Prototyping tools.
9. Sound understanding of both web and mobile platforms.
10. Excellent understanding of UI & UX design principles and standards.
11. Working knowledge of design tools to support documentation.
12. Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS is advantageous (not essential).
13. Experience using tools such as Asana or Jira is advantageous (not essential).
Required Work Experience
14. Experience working in a similar UI/UX role.
15. Experience working in an Agile environment.
16. Proven track record of evaluating existing applications and proposing optimizations.
17. Experience in identifying and troubleshooting UX problems such as responsiveness.
Required Qualifications
18. Educated to degree level (high grade) or above (advantageous)
Required Languages
19. English (Fluent)
