Please note this is a Long Term Temporary position starting ASAP.
MCC is seeking 2 Youth Justice Officers, with a pay rate of up to £30 per hour depending on experience, to start immediately.
Applicants must be qualified and have recent experience working as a case officer in Youth Justice. Qualifications include:
* Relevant qualification or equivalent experience such as DipSW, Degree in Social Work, Qualified Probation Officer PCEP, NVQ Level 4 in Community Justice, or YJEPC.
Our Youth Justice Service is committed to delivering high-quality interventions to ensure positive outcomes for children and young people in Manchester. The team works closely with courts, young people, and their families to promote safe, healthy, and successful futures.
The role involves working within a dynamic team to improve public protection, safeguard young people, and reduce youth offending within a desistance framework. The Officer will need to be focused, proactive, and passionate about helping young people, conducting assessments, delivering face-to-face interventions, supervising cases, making referrals, and managing risks according to national standards.
Experience or understanding of the Criminal Justice system is essential. Flexibility to work across Manchester Youth Justice Offices and to work one late night per week on a rota is required.
