Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Architectural Lead
Location: Aldermaston, UK
Job Type: Full-time contract, 12 Months
Job Purpose:
To provide specialist information security oversight, advice, and guidance to the Department’s projects and functions on all aspects of information security to ensure that classified information assets, materials, and equipment are managed with acceptable risk.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide analysis of risks to information systems to inform risk owners and project managers for effective decision-making.
* Offer expert advice to the CISO and the IS management chain.
* Ensure IT projects receive timely technical security advice.
* Develop and implement the organisation's security architecture and key security controls.
* Maintain high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality, and promote teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess sources of information risk within functions, projects, and supply chain, and recommend management strategies.
* Lead efforts to maintain awareness of government and industry best practices in Information Assurance and Risk Management.
* Determine security architecture application to projects and advise solution architects on security requirements.
* Review design compliance with security architecture and efficacy of security features.
* Facilitate formal accreditation of Department systems with government authorities.
* Act as liaison with the National Technical Authority (NCSC).
* Oversee IT Health Checks and Vulnerability Assessments, including scope and testing programs.
* Track assessments, reviews, and audits of information capabilities and projects.
* Provide technical risk assessments.
* Enhance professionalism in Information Risk Management within the Department.
* Participate in and manage project Security Working Groups as appropriate.
