City College Peterborough are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and learner driven Teaching Assistant to work within our Study Skills Programme – Alternative Provision. You will be working with a diverse group of learners aged 14-16, some of which have special educational needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will vary from providing support for individual students to shared groups of students who need assistance to absorb the lesson material. You will work with the lead Tutor in developing resources for class activities and will assist in record-keeping on ProMonitor.

The successful candidate will be able to:
Establish effective working relationships with learners
Undertake the role of Teaching Assistant inside and outside of the classroom to provide high quality support
Provide personal care to learners
Have excellent communication skills
Work effectively with tutors to ensure the level of challenge is appropriate for the learners
Desirable criteria:
Experience working in an Education Setting.
Experience working with individuals who have Special Educational Needs.
Experience of administering personal care
