Role Overview
The driver for developing contract value optimisation, tracking Divisional performance of the services business, will continue to develop and implement a consistent commercial framework for the projects business and develop/adapt an approach to risk management reducing risk to as low as reasonably practical. The role will include leading the assessment and delivery of projects in line with Group policies and procedures.
Location
Hybrid – covering Cumbria with some national travel.
Salary
£55,000 DOE plus car allowance.
Working Hours
0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday.

About the Role
* Liaison with EMCOR commercial/technical/operational management to develop contractor lists and new business prospects.
* Prepare annual business plans with the Contracts Manager, identifying opportunities and developing small projects operations.
* Prepare programmes, method statements and risk assessments.
* Procure labour/materials and sub‑contractors according to buying procedures, ensuring waste and costs are minimised.
* Communicate contract progress to management.
* Develop an in‑house cost‑effective multi‑skilled technician team for the project business.
* Manage and supervise EMCOR staff and sub‑contractors.
* Maintain health & safety and statutory compliance, including CDM Regulations.
* Maintain accurate project administration files and cost records.
* Prepare a monthly report for the Contracts Manager detailing project activities.
* Attend monthly internal meetings.
* Provide operational support as necessary to other parts of the business.
* Other reasonable duties as requested.
About You
* Educated to HNC/HND Standard (or equivalent).
* Extensive experience in a similar role.
* Knowledge of key operational management disciplines, e.g. quality control, work planning methods.
* Capable of managing a portfolio exceeding £500k per annum.
* IT literacy (word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools).
* Valid full driving licence.
* Good understanding of commercial and contractual issues.
