About The Role
As our new Payroll Officer, you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting our people by ensuring their pay is accurate, timely, and handled with genuine care.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting the Group Payroll Manager to keep payroll running smoothly across the Group
* Processing overtime and monthly pay changes with accuracy
* Completing essential payroll checks before processing
* Assisting with annual pay reviews and helping colleagues with payroll queries
* Supporting monthly pension reporting and submissions
* Preparing data for P11Ds and payrolling benefits
* Ensuring payroll processes meet internal standards and legislation
* Keeping employee data accurate and up to date in our HR and payroll systems
* Conducting regular audits and data checks
* Supporting archiving and retention of payroll and HR documentation
* Processing staff expenses and Barclaycard claims
* Collating information for annual benefit renewals and managing joiners/leavers
* Maintaining confidentiality at all times
* Collaborating closely with colleagues in HR and Finance
What We’re Looking For
* Strong numeracy skills and confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills and comfort with routine processes
* Sensitivity when handling confidential information
* Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively
* Warm and clear communication skills
