Hours: A few hours a day, a few days a week during six-week holidays.

Pay: Age-related national minimum wage, up to £12.90 per hour
Holidays: 5.6 weeks pro-rata per annum
We are seeking a Personal Assistant for a non-verbal 15-year-old young man who uses Tec Cards to communicate and manages well. The role involves some personal care, as he is doubly incontinent and uses pads. He has epilepsy, controlled by medication, with an epilepsy passport and wears a lanyard indicating this.
Knowledge of epilepsy would be beneficial. Generally, he is easy to care for, but changes in routine can sometimes unsettle him.
The PA will assist his mother during the six-week holidays, taking him out for a couple of hours a day, a couple of days a week, to activities such as the park, swimming, and entertainment. Building a friendly relationship is encouraged—he loves sweets!
