An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NPD Manager to join a leading UK food manufacturer at one of their key production sites in East Yorkshire. This business has strong commercial partnerships with major UK retailers and is investing in innovation as a core part of its growth strategy. This role will focus on a key major retailer relationship.
This is a site-based leadership role where you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end NPD process — from concept through to successful launch — ensuring technical feasibility, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery.
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and delivery of new and existing product ranges from concept to launch for a major retailer, leading presentations and managing the relationship with them.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Technical, Operations, and Procurement teams to align product development with business objectives.
* Oversee factory trials and process validations, ensuring product quality, consistency, and commercial viability.
* Drive a proactive, insights-led approach to innovation in line with food trends and customer expectations.
* Ensure all NPD activity aligns with food safety, legal, and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in an NPD role with at least 5 years experience in food manufacturing.
* Experience working with key accounts and retailers.
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Confident presenting to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
* Experience with factory trials, product costing, and recipe formulation.
* A collaborative, commercially aware mindset with a passion for innovation.
