Employee Assistance Programme Salary Sacrifice schemes e.g. Cycle to Work etc. Free town centre parking What to Expect in the Role: To provide an essential service to Council Tax, Business Rates and Benefits by ensuring payments are posted in a timely manner, to provide relevant service statistics, complete Government returns and to carry out the reconciliation to the Finance systems. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details): To organise and prioritise your own workload to ensure deadlines are met To keep staff fully informed about the posting of payments, specifically direct debits (payments, unpaid, new and cancelled) To post payments and extract and submit direct debit payments To provide and monitor monthly Council Tax and Business Rates collection rates To complete Government quarterly collection returns by the deadline To assist staff with missing or mis-allocated payments To liaise with Finance to ensure that the Civica system reconciles with the Ledger What You’ll Need (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details): Strong educational background: GCSE level Maths & English or equivalent. Effective communicator with excellent organisational and administrative skills. Experience with IT systems and the ability to handle confidential paperwork sensitively.
