About the role

DS Smith's Retail Marketing division is the UK's leading 3D POS business, partnering with top brands to create impactful in-store materials. We deliver award-winning POS by leveraging our world-class manufacturing expertise, from paper mills to print presses and recycling plants.

Are you an experienced creative Account Manager within a Print and POS environment ready to take the next step in your career? We have a fabulous opportunity for a dynamic and reliable individual to join our team as an Account Manager, sitting within the Creative Services team and working in collaboration with the client services department.

An Account Manager within the Creative services team, you will drive customer retention, ensuring customer satisfaction, new sales, support the implementation of the creative account plans and monitor progress against the agreed targets within a small to medium multi-site business unit. An overview of the role is as below:

1. To deliver and manage brand awareness of our dedicated client base
2. Act as brand guardian for our clients in production of POS and activation toolkits
3. Understanding of key retailer guidelines and deliverables
4. To fully understand the client values to deliver an outstanding level of service that matches that requirement specifically and work closely with the Creative Account Director on strategic growth and development
5. To manage and measure regular non-operational innovation projects according to an Innovation Framework, and in line with the status and/or potential of the client
6. To develop strong professional and personal relationships with the client, based on regular face-to-face interaction whether that be in person or remotely
7. Support and deliver clear creative objectives and deliverables on new business opportunity to drive and manage sales and growth opportunities
8. Ensure that all key project documentation is obtained, shared, and communicated seamlessly to the relevant internal and external parties in good order and in a timely manner in order to facilitate the smooth execution of any project

About you

9. Demonstrable experience in retail and trade marketing environments
10. An understanding of FMCG industries
11. Knowledge of retailer guidelines (preferable)
12. Commercially aware and comfortable dealing with the financial aspects of a role
13. A strong communicator, able to liaise with customers, with a passion and enthusiasm for POS retail marketing
14. Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated and able to work at pace
15. Excellent organisational, project management and problem-solving skills

Location: This is a full time, home-based role with travel to our customers and our Operations site (Ely) as required.
