An opportunity has arisen at Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors for a Maintenance Officer. Job Title: Maintenance Officer (Part-time) Location: Multiple locations Working hours: 22.5 hours per week days and hours to be agreed Reports to: Facilities Manager What are we looking for? Someone to support the smooth operation of nine Chadwick Lawrence sites by carrying out general maintenance tasks and promoting health and safety regulations; ensuring the office sites remain safe, functional, and well-presented for staff and visitors. Key responsibilities Office Inspections General Maintenance and Repair Contractors and Contracted work in our buildings and grounds Additional Information This role requires significant periods of lone working and as such, you will need to display a high degree of responsibility and professionalism in your work. The ability to use own initiative is essential. Occasional flexibility may be required to support urgent repairs or office events. You will be required to undertake annual training to support your role e.g. working at height, Asbestos Awareness, COSHH Awareness etc. Person Specification Essential: Full, clean driving license. Practical skills in basic building maintenance and repair. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Excellent communication skills and a helpful, proactive attitude. Experience and knowledge in using Microsoft Outlook Desirable: Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role, ideally in an office or commercial environment. Relevant trade qualifications or certifications. Awareness of health and safety standards in the workplace. Knowledge of workplace compliance requirements (e.g., fire safety, manual handling).
