Job Introduction Location: Oban Hourly rate: £12.60 per hour Hours per week: Part time (16-25 hours) Training Provided: Full training provided. Join our dedicated team supporting for people living in their own homes in Oban. Your role will be more than just assisting with daily tasks like cooking and shopping-you'll help create meaningful moments by enabling them to enjoy activities they love, such as relaxing hairdresser visits, trips to the cinema, and social lunches at Wetherspoons. Working shifts between 8am and 7pm, you'll play a key part in promoting independence and confidence, while building strong relationships. As a support worker you'll be there to lend a helping hand in a way that puts the person's needs first, this means: You will adapt your support to fit what each person needs and wants daily. You will encourage people to make their own choices, big and small. You will help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible. You will support people to build confidence and life skills You will support people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family. You will be understanding, allowing people to take their time and do things at their own pace. You will celebrate people's achievements, no matter how small they might seem to others.
