What you’ll be doing
The Finance assistant role is a varied roll that sits within a finance team of 3 and reports directly to the Finance Director.
Sales support and credit control
* Collaborating with our sales team to ensure sales invoices are paid on time and working with internal customers to ensure any queries are dealt with.
* Managing and set up of new customers.
* Supporting with bids and tender information.
Accounts payable
* Responsible for the input of all purchase ledger invoices into the financial accounting system.
* Preparing payment runs and ensuring all suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
* Ensure all expenses and company purchasing card receipts are correctly accounted for.
Other duties
* Responsible for managing the accounts inbox, ensuring queries are dealt with quickly, efficiently and ensuring the best possible outcome for the business.
* Bank account reconciliation.
* Ad-hoc holiday cover required for the Operations Team, i.e. facilities management.
* Other ad hoc duties
What You Will Need
* Accounts payable experience is essential.
* Credit Control experience is desirable.
* Great attention to detail.
* Be proactive and have a keen mind to go and find out answers.
* Prioritisation and time management skills.
* Trustworthy and able to work with the highest level of discretion.
* Flexible and able to turn their hand to tasks outside of their job description.
