TeacherActive are looking for a Design Technology Technician in Newcastle. We have an amazing opportunity to work within the local schools in the Newcastle area. We create amazing rapport with our schools and support all our staff with the onboarding process! The schools have many ambitions to achieve including a strong focus on creating a culture of success and positivity towards learning.
The position is full-time and will include planning and assessment, under the guidance of the Head of Department. As a Design Technology technician you will play a vital role within the Design Technology department and reporting to the appropriate staff members when required.
Responsibilities
The role involves planning, assessment and practical support within the Design Technology department, under the guidance of the Head of Department. You will report to the appropriate staff members as required and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
* Have proven experience in a workshop or school prep room.
* Have highly developed communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
* Have energy, enthusiasm and initiative.
* Competent to trial, prepare and set up practicals across DT.
