An opportunity has arisen to join the adult Dietetic Team at Royal Derby Hospital.
Your caseload will include respiratory, trauma and orthopaedics, neurology, surgery (gastrointestinal, vascular, ultra-radical gynaecology, complex urology), cardiology, general medicine, and endocrinology. You may be due to qualify, newly qualified, or have some experience.
If you are interested in any of these roles or working in Derby, please contact us.
All roles involve working with in-patients on a face-to-face basis. You may also participate in general clinics, telephone reviews, provide advice to relatives/carers, deliver group talks to patients, educate hospital staff, engage in social media work, and participate in projects related to national activities (e.g., Dietitians Week, Nutrition & Hydration Week).
We actively deliver dietetic student training from Sheffield, Nottingham, and more recently, apprenticeships.
There are many opportunities for professional development through clinical supervision, our library services, internal education, and external training as identified during appraisals. We also offer a multi-professional Trust preceptorship program with additional departmental activities. The department is growing, providing ongoing development opportunities.
You will be supported by dietetic assistants, specialist dietitians, team leaders, and a clerical team within a large Dietetic department. Other services include community, bariatric surgical services, diabetes, paediatrics, renal, and oncology.
