About the Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a major social housing roofing replacement programme across Nottingham. This will include re roofing, felt, slate, tiled, flat and pitcjed roofing. Working with a leading Tier 1 maintenance contractor, you will help ensure this multi-year programme is delivered safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step up, gain large-programme experience, and work within a well-structured and supportive delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations across occupied and void social housing properties
* Support the coordination of trades, subcontractors, materials, and programme schedules
* Carry out daily site inspections to ensure work meets quality and compliance standards
* Maintain high levels of resident communication and customer care
* Ensure all works adhere to health & safety policies, RAMS, and industry regulations
* Support progress reporting, site documentation, and updates to internal teams and the client
* Help manage access arrangements, surveys, snagging, and sign-off processes
Requirements
* Experience in social housing planned works or maintenance (roofing experience desirable)
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work with residents in occupied homes professionally and respectfully
* Understanding of site compliance, H&S, and quality standards
* SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, or equivalent qualifications preferred
* Full UK driving licence
