What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include
* Promoting & driving a clear understanding of the Jaeger customer, ensuring the segments and demographics needs are understood and put at the heart of the product offer.
* Create, develop, and deliver exceptional elevated product that excites the customer, sets Jaeger apart from their competitors and promotes the brand globally across clothing & accessories. Excellent attention to detail, to ensure the Jaeger fit and materials are refined and to a premium level.
* Leading a trading culture across all levels
* Work in collaboration with Sourcing Offices globally to develop appropriate supply routes.
* Provide leadership and direction to the buying team. Identify and develop talent within the team, benchmarking across peer group and promoting movement of people within the business.
* Leading a trading culture across all levels of Buying.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
* Working to at least Buyer level, preferred background in premium or luxury womenswear but premium handwriting is most important.
* Strong technical womenswear knowledge, with a proven track record of developing and trading highly commercial elevated ranges that exceed sales & profit targets.
* Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Design, Merchandising and Technology and Global Sourcing Offices
* Strong knowledge of fabrics used and understanding of material supply base
* Highly organised approach and commitment to closing and completing tasks
* Ability to lead, coach and manage people to support development and drive success
* Proactively agree to take on Head of Buying responsibilities where required
