Supervising Social Worker - Compass Fostering
Location: Whitstable / West Malling (covering Kent)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a knowledgeable and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join a dynamic and supportive fostering team. Based in Whitstable/West Malling, you will manage a caseload across Kent, working in a flexible hybrid model combining office, home, and car-based working. Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of approximately 13-15 fostering families
* Provide supervision, support, and guidance to foster carers
* Ensure high standards of care and safeguarding for children and young people
* Support carers in developing their skills to meet children’s needs
* Participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call service
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the fostering service
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with fostering regulations
Salary: £34,650 - £43,050 per annum

Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Experience in fostering or children’s social care (e.g. looked after children teams)
* Strong understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and childcare law
* Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
* Commitment to supporting foster carers and improving outcomes for children
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
