About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support pupils with a range of additional needs. You will help create a positive, encouraging environment where learners feel safe, confident, and ready to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (TA): Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions Help maintain an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing Support pupils with EHCPs and ensure individual needs are met Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (TA): Experience working with children or young people with SEN Understanding of differentiated learning and support strategies Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships Patience, empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
