We are recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a determined and forward-thinking secondary school in North Tyneside. You will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them regulate, re-engage and succeed in lessons.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support for students with behavioural needs
* Support pupils in lessons and during unstructured times
* Use de-escalation strategies to manage challenging situations
* Work closely with Heads of Year, SENCO and safeguarding leads
* Help students develop self-regulation and positive coping strategies
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with young people in education, youth work or care settings
* Confident, calm and consistent approach
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Able to build positive and professional relationships
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
