Maintenance Engineer (nights) - Warrenpoint - Salary up to £55000 (DoE)

Your New Role
Whilst working as a maintenance engineer your key role is to effectively provide reactive and preventative maintenance cover for day and night shift production operations. Working as an integral member of the Engineering team you will report to the Engineering Manager.
Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Support the Engineering Manager to plan, agree and monitor maintenance expenditure to deliver targeted levels of plant performance within budget • Provide Reactive Maintenance cover to minimise production downtime • Ensure stock of engineering spares and consumables are managed accurately • Follow a planned preventative maintenance programme with the objective of maximising operational efficiencies • Support the Engineering Manager to continually measure engineering performance against budget cost standards and drive a culture of continuous improvement across all production lines including a constant review of automation projects to reduce labour costs and improve operational efficiencies.
Ensure an environment and culture of safe working practices are understood and maintained, by personally demonstrating safe behaviour and taking responsibility for the setting and management of health & safety of engineering staff and contractors • Ensure that Health and Safety risk assessments arepleted and actioned • Organise and monitorpliance with statutory and internal Health and Safety requirements across the whole site • Ensure all required customer standards are achieved and maintained.
What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to display the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Mechanically biased skill set with basic electrical understanding and experience • Three years' experience in an FMCG, chilled environment • Qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering or electrical discipline (highly desirable) • Proven experience of online preventative maintenance software • Apprenticeship trained and tested • Experience in dealing with external service providers, and regulatory bodies • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment whilst proven experience of objective delivery.
What You'll Get In Return
This role offers aprehensive salary package of up to £55000 (DoE) for working on a permanent night shift basis. The regular hours of work are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 19:00 - 06:00.
