About the Role
We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with ASC in a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Blackpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to help a young learner build confidence, develop key skills, and thrive both socially and academically.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing consistent 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs
* Delivering creative, play-based activities that encourage engagement and development
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt resources and strategies
* Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
* Creating a calm, safe, and positive learning environment
✅ What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with SEN/ASC (or a strong willingness to learn)
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
* A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
