Job Overview
The Community Assistant plays a vital role in supporting individuals within the community, particularly those in care homes or receiving home care services. This position involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring the well-being of residents, and promoting a supportive environment. Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care as outlined in their care plans.
* Drive to various locations as required to support clients in the community.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans accordingly.
* Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff through effective communication.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss resident progress and any concerns.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
* Ensure a safe and clean environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
* Proficient driving skills with a valid driving licence.
* Experience in a care home setting or providing home care services is advantageous.
* Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
* Strong command of English, both written and verbal, for clear communication.
* Competent IT skills for managing documentation and reporting tasks.
* Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. This role is essential for enhancing the quality of life for individuals within the community while ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
