The Opportunity:
The Planner is responsible for scheduling all maintenance works on AIRCRAFT within this busy facility. It would suit either a hands on Aircraft Engineer who prefers office admin and planning, OR somebody with perhaps a degree in Aerospace, Aviation or even Mechanical Engineering, interested in a planning and scheduling role. Please note that this is a shift based role, working 7am to 7pm, on a 5/5/4 day rota (usually 2 weekends on, then 2 weekends off, but you will get 5 days off in a row in amongst the rota).
The Role:
* Organise maintenance 'jobs' involving all aspects of planning from start to finish: making sure parts and equipment are available to the engineers, planning the jobs in from the customers, scheduling timescales, workforce planning.
* Organise and prioritise the incoming requests for quotes and proposals. Liaise with customers and potential customers when required.
* Manage the maintenance plan and slot allocation.
* Liaise with the Finance Executive for Quoting and budgetary requirements with involvement in raising quotes and estimates for customers.
