Accounts Assistant - Guildford - on going contract - Hybrid - £15 - £16 per hour - Part time (09:00 - 13:00)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team on a part-time, mornings-only basis. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, who is highly proficient in using Xero and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero Accounting Software
* Bank reconciliations and matching transactions
* Processing purchase and sales invoices
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
* Assisting with ad-hoc finance-related tasks and queries
Requirements:
* Extensive, hands-on experience using Xero is essential
* Proven background in a similar finance or accounts assistant role
* Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Good knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
