CAD/CAM Programmer Bedfordshire / Shefford Area £35,000 - £37,000We are currently recruiting for a CAD/CAM Programmer on behalf of a growing manufacturing business operating within a specialist engineering environment.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established technical team in a business-critical position supporting increased production demand and ongoing company growth.The role would suit someone with a strong background in sheet metal manufacturing, CNC programming and SolidWorks design who enjoys a hands-on environment working closely with production and technical teams.The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and maintaining CAD/CAM programs and manufacturing documentation to support efficient production output across both bespoke and standard products.This is a varied position combining design, programming and manufacturing support within a fast-paced production environment.Key responsibilities will include:Producing CAD/CAM programs for manufacturingCreating and modifying SolidWorks drawings and modelsProgramming CNC machinery using TruTops BoostCreating and maintaining BOMs and production documentationSupporting bespoke sheet metal manufacturing requirementsReviewing drawings and ensuring manufacturabilityWorking closely with production and technical teamsSupporting continuous improvement within manufacturing processesAssisting with production efficiency and workflow improvementsCandidate Requirements To be considered for the role, candidates should have experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment and demonstrate strong CAD/CAM capability.Essential Experience SolidWorks experienceTruTops Boost experienceCNC programming knowledgeSheet metal manufacturing experienceExperience working within a production or manufacturing environmentDesirable Experience AutoCAD knowledgeLaser cutting machinery experiencePunch press experienceGuillotine machinery exposureFabrication/manufacturing process understandingPersonal Attributes The business is looking for someone who is:Practical and hands-onDetail focusedAdaptable and flexibleComfortable working at paceAble to work independentlyA strong team playerConfident communicating with production teamsWorking Hours Monday to Thursday: 9:00am 5:00pm Friday: 9:00am 4:30pmSalary & Benefits £35,000 - £37,00025 days holiday plus bank holidaysCompany pensionPrivate healthcareLaptop providedOngoing training and development opportunitiesAdditional Information This is a growth position within the business due to increasing workload and production demand.The company is currently operating from Bedfordshire with future plans to relocate to the Shefford area, so candidates should be comfortable with this longer-term transition.Immediate interviews available.TPBN1_UKTJ
