Job Description
* As an Aircraft Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for the electrical and avionic maintenance of the UK MFTS (Military Flying Training System) rotary-wing H135/H145 aircraft. Working at RAF Valley, you will provide engineering support across line and base maintenance tasks, contributing directly to the availability and airworthiness of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform electrical and avionic system maintenance as per OEM standards.
* Support Flight Operations and assist in the day-to-day running of the hangar.
* Conduct inspections, repairs, and off-aircraft technical work in workshops.
* Use specialised test equipment for diagnostics and system testing.
* Move aircraft safely within hangar or flight line environments.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company maintenance procedures.
Essential Requirements
* Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline.
* Proven knowledge of electrical and avionic systems.
Experience With
* Aircraft Line and Base Maintenance
* Flight/Airport Operations
* Proficiency in using specialised electrical/avionic test equipment.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience working on H135 helicopters.
* Knowledge of Client Helicopters products.
* Familiarity with UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS operations.
* Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
* Experience in military aviation environments.
Key Performance Indicators
* Maintain >98% aircraft availability at Client location (including deployments).
